ATLAS SUPPLY CO. · FREE SHOPPING GUIDE · POLICY CHECKED OCTOBER 21, 2026
You bought something on Costco.com. A week or two later, its online price is lower. That can be frustrating—especially when you are not sure whether the difference is worth asking about.
The key: Costco.com says qualifying non-resale purchases that reduce in price within 30 days of the purchase date may be eligible for a price match. Not every lower advertised price qualifies, and some dated promotions have narrower request deadlines.

How does Costco.com's 30-day price-adjustment rule work?
Costco's official online policy generally considers price reductions within 30 days for qualifying non-resale members and products. Costco reserves the right to deny a request, and item or promotional limits can apply. A listed reduction alone is not proof that a request will be approved.
Important exception: for products with specified sale dates (for example, a holiday savings event), Costco says a price-match request must meet both the active promotional period and the 30-day purchase window. A promotion can end before a standard 30-day window does.
Before contacting Costco, check these five details
- Where you bought it. Costco.com purchases should be compared with eligible Costco.com prices. Costco does not automatically match other retailers' prices or warehouse prices against Costco.com purchases.
- Your purchase date. Count the days since you bought the product and check for an applicable deadline.
- What price changed. Use the current Costco.com product listing for the same qualifying purchase—not a screenshot of an unrelated product or retailer.
- Whether it is a timed promotion. If the new price is part of a dated sale, check when the sale ends. Some requests must arrive before that date.
- Membership and product exclusions. Resale restrictions, quantities, precious metals, and special-order categories may change eligibility.
A fictional example
Suppose an eligible Costco.com product was purchased for $249.99. Twelve days later, the qualifying online listing shows $219.99. The advertised difference is $30.00. That is an amount worth investigating, not a confirmed refund or a statement that Costco will approve the request.
Where to request a Costco.com price match
Costco directs shoppers with qualifying Costco.com orders to its official Costco.com Price Match help page, which links to the request process. For purchases made in a Costco warehouse, Costco generally directs shoppers to the Returns counter at the location where they made the purchase.
What if you did not notice the drop in time?
That is the problem ATLAS is researching: an optional ATLAS Price Watch subscription intended to monitor exact eligible purchase listings and flag potential lower-price opportunities before policy deadlines. It is still in development. Automatic monitoring, price retrieval, and email alerts are not live, and nothing is available to subscribe to yet.
The Price Watch research page lets shoppers share which reminders or alerts would actually be useful. The manual checker will stay free.
Common questions
Will Costco.com match the lower price from another retailer?
Its published Costco.com policy says it does not price-match other retailers or businesses. Check the official policy rather than assuming a competitor offer qualifies.
Can I request the Costco warehouse price for something bought online?
Costco.com generally does not match in-warehouse pricing, in part because Costco.com pricing accounts for shipping and handling.
Does the 30-day rule mean the money is automatic?
No. Product and promotion conditions apply, and Costco reviews requests. The 30 days describe a general eligibility period, not a guaranteed refund.
